Tottenham Hotspurs have a lot of problems to fix: says boss Nuno Espirito Santo
Nuno Espirito Santo was pleased with Tottenham Hotspur’s performance in the first half of Sunday’s 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea, but admitted that his team has a lot of problems to solve.
Spurs displayed an impressive performance in the first half, but the second-half goals from Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger left Chelsea unbeaten in their opening five games and at the top of the points table.
“We need more time to work together, we have many problems to solve and we need to improve. We need to find solutions but I’m really positive and confident we’ll get there,” Nuno told the reporters.
Tottenham have suffered back to back 3-0 defeats and slipped to seventh position in the points table after winning their opening three Premier League games of the season.
Tottenham will play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday’s League Cup match and will be facing Arsenal in Sunday’s derby at the Emirates stadium.
“It was displeasing the way we conceded, we have a lot of things to improve on, but the first-half was really good,” Nuno added.
