Mumbai Indians are the strongest team in tournament: CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo
Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo said the Mumbai Indians are the strongest team in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) and any match against MI feels like a final. Bravo’s remarks were made after CSKA began the 2nd stage of the 2021 IPL with a victory over MICHIGAN.
Gaikwad stroked his way to an unbeaten 88 while veteran Bravo, batting at number eight, smashed 23 off just 8 balls as CSK made 156 for six after opting to bat first. Bravo then led an excellent bowling display to power Chennai Super Kings to a crushing 20-run win over Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2021 in Dubai on Sunday.
“It’s a good feeling, obviously against MI it’s the toughest team in IPL and it’s like a final playing against them, always a good feeling to win. Just tried to protect me in the last stages of CPL and when I came over here, just had one bowling session which was yesterday, and happy to get 4 overs through today. Now I bat lower down the order with the batting line-up like CSK, for me, it’s just about trying to get the momentum and try to capitalize, adjust and adapt,” Bravo told host broadcaster Star Sports after the match ended.
Bravo was full of praises for Ruturaj Gaikwad who starred in CSK’s win with a match-winning 88-run knock on Sunday.
“Just try to give the best of my ability whenever I go out to bat. Gaikwad has been our star player end of last season and this season and he is a quality player. Played proper cricket shots and played till the end. He has an appetite for runs and it’s good to get over the line this game,” he added.
