The Punjab Kings will travel to the UAE ahead of resumption of tournament

The Punjab Kings on Sunday released photos and videos of the team traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2021.

Punjab’s first match of the resumed season will be against Rajasthan Royals and will be played on September 21 at the Dubai International Stadium.

The Punjab Kings were placed sixth on the league table with six points from eight matches when the IPL was postponed.

Those in the squad with international commitments, including captain KL Rahul, are expected to join later.

Punjab Kings recently announced the signing of England leg-spinner Adil Rashid for the remainder of the 2021 season.

The veteran cricketer will replace fast bowler Jhye Richardson in the PBKS squad as the Australian has decided to skip remaining games in the United Arab Emirates.

Adil Rashid has played over 200 T20s in his decorated career till date in which he has managed 232 wickets at an average of 22.08.
